"Account-On-Line" (AOL) & e-Billing Services

Simply scan the "e-Bill Registration" QR code on the electricity bill and take a few steps to register e-bill via the AOL service.

e-Bill Registration QR code

"Account-On-Line" (AOL) service provides you round-the-clock interactive access to your electricity account and offer a variety of services, such as:

  • Check 12-month billing and payment records, and 25-month consumption record
  • View/Download last 12 electricity bills
  • Receive the electricity bills by email (up to 6 email addresses), SMS or fax
  • Manage up to 20 electricity accounts in one AOL account
  • Make payment with Faster Payment System (FPS) or AlipayHK
  • Manage the account – e-receipt subscription, changing bill language and forms of receiving bills, etc.
  • Access information on supply interruptions within the past 24 hours as well as planned shutdowns

Login "Account-On-Line" with the Government "iAM Smart"

Customers can login HK Electric's "Account-On-Line (AOL)" service with the Government "iAM Smart". After initial set-up for "Login with iAM Smart", customers can simply use "iAM Smart" for future login of AOL account, without inputting the AOL username/account number and password. Online Form

Customers can fill in the online forms for account-related services, such as application or termination of electricity account, change of postal address and bill language, arrange special meter reading, etc.

You can make an enquiry for the current status of your applications on Electricity Supply, Account Transfer / Termination, Autopay, Special Meter Reading and Customer Requested Shutdown.

​e-Payment Services

e-Payment Services

Autopay is the most convenient way of paying your electricity bills. Upon successful application for the following autopay services, your monthly bill will be paid automatically by debiting your bank account or credit card account on the eighth working day from the meter reading date.

  • Via Savings or Current Accounts (residential customers can authorise autopay by calling 2887 3411)
  • Via COMPASS VISA / DBS or Bank of China / Chiyu Bank / Nanyang Commercial Bank Credit Cards (For Residential Customers Only)
  • Via American Express Card (For registration, please call American Express Customer Service Hotline according to the telephone no. printed on the back of American Express Card)

We also provide different e-payment services to our customers:

  • Faster Payment System (FPS) QR Code
  • "AlipayHK" App
  • Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment Service (EBPP)
  • Upload an e-Cheque through our e-Cheque Drop Box (made payable to "The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd.")
  • Internet Payment (PPS by Internet, "PPS on Mobile" App, JET Payment and internet banking services provided by banks in Hong Kong)
